I started drawing New Year’s stories. The first will be a teddy bear in a New Year’s costume. They gave it to us in the online store, but the original was a little different. All the bears are very unique, so our new favorite and the bear in the picture are two pair boots. It’s not easy to draw a bear, he is a fidget, he loves to run around the house, eat goodies, and five minutes after eating he already goes to bed. But I managed to catch a small moment and make this drawing. And what do you associate the new year with?
As usual, I started the drawing with a lineart, which was helped by an isograph with pen 1.0 and a small preliminary sketch with a simple pencil. The lines came out very cute, and for a long time I selected colors to make the bear as happy and New Year as possible. For the red mantle, shades of Copic Sketch markers R08, R27 and R37 were used. These are essentially all my red dots. For shadows, I took all shades of warm gray. Wool and face are painted with earthy shades E33, E15, E37, E29 and E49. For glare, I use the white Gelly Roll 08 Sakura handle.
